Making a Fabric Upholstered King Bedroom Set

Use an existing headboard model if possible. Draw your headboard on a sheet of plywood. Cut it to size by means of a puzzle table. A roll also may be used for several decorative sections. Smooth any rough edges with coarse grit sandpaper. Spray the front of the headboard with spray adhesive. Place a piece of foam padding over the front of the headboard. Flip the headboard end when the glue has dried. Cut the foam to the shape of the head of the bed with a knife.
Wrap cotton batting over the front of the headboard. Apply batting in a smooth, even layer over the front. Place the fabric on a flat surface. Add upholstered headboard over the fabric. Pull the fabric over the edges on the bottom of the headboard. Cut off any excess material.
