Installing Tropical Outdoor Rugs
Tropical outdoor rugs provide comfort underfoot on a patio or anywhere else you choose to install carpet in and around your yard. Most people add outdoor carpeting inside a screen enclosure or on a patio deck. Adding outdoor carpet is easy. There are many different types and styles to choose from and a few different ways to install it.
Prepare the surface. Make sure it is smooth, clean and dry. Use glue or double adhesive tape on concrete, wood decking or asphalt. Roll out the selected carpet in the area where you will install it. Let it sit for an hour to allow for expansion. Put double-sided tape around the perimeter of the room. Do not remove the backing from the tape.
Layout carpet, centered, so equal amounts carpet crawl up the sides of all the walls at the ends, if applicable. Make a vertical incision in the tropical outdoor rugs down the wall to the floor, and trim over the crevice where the wall meets the floor. Use a heavy-duty utility knife. Pull back half carpet. Remove the backing from the tape and fold back the carpet in place.
Keep utility knife parallel to the floor and trim back all edges to ensure all excess carpet will be removed. Applying quality outdoor glue on the outer edges of the mat for securing it to the ground. Stop the edges up over the surrounding walls if applicable. Go around the edges of tropical outdoor rugs so that it adheres properly.
